• Intellectual Acuity fostered through learning activities, discussion groups and daily interaction. Our unique “Brain Fit” program is designed to help improve memory and cognitive performance.

What Winthrop means to Executive Director Cynthia Murphy Burnes

I came to work at Winthrop Court almost twenty years ago because I thought I needed a change in my career; God knew more!  He knew with my persistent personality, I would learn compassion for geriatric care and would fight for solutions. I know that my leadership with the staff and residents is tested daily and because of a closer relationship with God, I have received peace when I least expected, thus more growth in my life and hopefully a better leader.

My eyes have been opened to a world far beyond what I knew and I am still walking in faith trying to learn from what I see. The precious seniors and wonderful staff that have placed their mark on my heart are too many to name; my only regret is that many will never have a clue of how they have touched my life!

What our Residents are Saying About Winthrop Court

Dear Winthrop Court Senior Living Community,

When I moved into Winthrop Court last February I never imagined feeling so at home. The sense of security and affection I experience here make Winthrop Court more than just a dwelling place. The thoughtfulness of Cynthia, Jan, David, Laura, Pollie and
Doris certainly helped ease my transition. The care, the nursing, and food service staff continue to show helps me to live stress free. The care and loving kindness shown to me by my fellow residents has brought much happiness. It is for all of these reasons that I want to express my gratitude and love to the Winthrop Court Community.

With love and friendship,
Rosa Lee Bryant
