The 80's - Key events for Charles Williams REIC:
1981 - Developed as a 221-D4 HUD property, Southland Heights Apartments-previously co-owned and operated with Stafford Investment Co. - an 89 unit community in Americus Ga. Currently owned and managed by CWREIC.
1982 - Developed an elderly affordable housing project for independent living, Heatherwood Apartments-a 68 unit independent senior living community. Managed until 1992 by CWREIC. 1982 - Developed Fieldmont Apartments (USDA Affordable Housing) a 40 unit property in Cartersville, GA. 1982 - Developed Lakeview Apartments, a 40 unit property in Canton, Ga. Currently owned and managed by CWREIC.
1984 - Developed Commodore Manor Apartments, a 52 unit property in Perry, Ga. Currently owned and managed by CWREIC.
1984 - Retrofit of the Roman Inn on 411 into Winthrop Court Senior Living Center, a 119 bed facility in Rome, GA.
1985 - Developed Hillside Apartments, a 32 unit property in Cleveland, Ga. Currently owned and managed by CWREIC.
1985 - Development of the HUD financed affordable housing property known as Dallas Manor Apartments in Dallas, GA, a 40 unit Income Based Apartment. Currently owned and managed by CWREIC.
1988 - Purchased Springwood Nursing Home, a 100 bed facility. The CON for the beds was transferred to the Winthrop campus for the construction of Winthrop Manor Nursing Home. 1989 - Developed Winthrop Manor Nursing Home in Rome, GA. This is a 100 bed facility owned by Charles Williams Trust. 1989 - Developed Guest House Apartments in Rome, GA. This property specializes in providing FURNISHED, short term, corporate housing with all the amenities. CWREIC currently owns and manages this 72 unit short and long-term rental property.
